LITURGICAL MINISTRIES
Jesus calls each of us to serve in accordance with the gifts we have been given. He calls us to serve with joy, and St. Clement Parish provides many opportunities to do so. Doing so, we are the face of the Church to all whose lives we touch.
Please prayerfully consider the following ministries and be in touch with the Parish Office for more information if you would like to take part. You will be warmly welcomed!

Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Lectors
Ushers
- Children in Grade 4 and up, after a period of training, assist Father at Lord's Day Masses and at weddings.
Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
- Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist Father with distributing the Eucharist at Lord's Day Masses.
- Those who are able, on completion of volunteer screening, bring the Eucharist to sick and shut-in parishioners. These visits take place at homes and in the hospital and nursing homes.
Lectors
- At the beginning of Lord's Day Masses, we are welcomed by a Lector who reads an introduction. During Mass, Lectors proclaim God’s message in the Old Testament and Epistle. They also read the Intercessory Prayers which follow the homily.
- To truly proclaim involves practise and prayerful consideration of the Sunday readings so that they are delivered with clarity and understanding.
Ushers
- Our ushers greet those who attend Lord's Day Masses, assist with seating and invite people to act as Gift Bearers for the Offertory procession. During the Preparation of the Gifts, they collect the monetary offerings of the congregation; and as people leave Mass, the ushers distribute the Sunday bulletin.
